PVP is one of the most important types in the game especially in Age of Conan. However, there are types of game-play in this game such as PVE and PVP. But now we mainly talk about PVP. We gather some PVP tips for your information which you can learn some useful knowledge from it.
   Due to the fact that Age of Conan has much to offer PVE players, many have been drawn to the game for its true PVP experience. On PVP servers, players may kill Non Player Controlled Characters, but they may kill each other. For this reason, your travels become far more dangerous. In addition to keeping an eye open for NPC, you must watch for other players, which can at times become quite tricky due to the "Hiding" skill. Some players can remain hidden and seemingly come out of no where. PVP players must remain alert at all times. Upon your death you'll receive a temporary decrease in stats.
   PVP adds new challenges to the game as you are battling against unpredictable human when you do not receive XP for a player kill. Additionally you may be killed by much higher level players. It is fortunate that there are some safe zones within in Hyboria such as Old Tarantia, Khemi and Cimmeria Settlement.
   Whether you make a decision to play PVE or PVP, many players will enjoy the company of "Guilds" sometimes called "Clans". Guilds are a group of players that have come together to for any number of reasons, such as: friendship, grouping, to give and receive help, trade resources and to raid. Joining a Guild can have many benefits, but can also be time consuming if the Guild has mandatory raid, building or warfare requirements.
While playing Age of Conan you may receive many guild invitations. Although it may be flattering, it is not recommended that you join the first guild that invites you. People who join guild after guild tend to get a bad reputation and are known as "guild hoppers". When selecting a guild makes sure they are a good fit based on common goals, hours of play, interests, personality and mentality. You may want to cruise some guild websites before making a decision. Joining a guild is completely optional.
   Siege Warfare is a large-scale PvP battle. Guilds can wage war against each other to attack and defend player-made cities and battle keeps. At this time it is believed that Siege Warfare requires 48 players per side. We will add to this section as more information becomes available.
   For the most part, raiding is done by guides and guide alliances but sometimes people will form up to tackle a raid NPC. Raid encounters are often more than they appear. It is important to expect a raid boss to have a very large health pool. Raid Bosses will send out waves of lesser NPC which you will have to battle through before attacking the Boss, or while battling the Boss. In addition, Raid Bosses will often come equipped with powerful AOE (Area of Effect) spells which can wipe out an entire raid part in seconds if the raid party does not have a working strategy, or are not geared up heavily enough.
Since Age of Conan has expansions, many players find it necessary to join a Guide so they may easily find groups and raids parties in which to quest and kill with. Refer to an endgame, it will involve performing a series of large scale quests often requires you to kill many raid bosses.
