Demonologist is one of the most powerful mage type classes in Age of Conan. It is both complicated and challenging. The Demonologists are the mightiest of sorcerers, wielding the power of hell and earth and able to conjure pillars of flame or titanic storms of electricity. They concentrate solely on sorcery and the potency of their spells is unmatched. Demonologists wear cloth armor and your only permittable race is Stygian.
   Likewise, it is one of the most exciting classes to start your Age of Conan Tortage journey with. Until you reach Tortage city, most of your kills will be one-shot using your powerful Fires of Gehenna spell. Just be careful in the city, as you can aggro the guards if fighting nearby one, as Fires of Gehenna has a splash damage effect as well. While it's fun kill enemies in one shot, the power doesn't end once you reach Tortage City. By this time you will also have your first AoE spell, Waves of Flame. Your AoE will allow you to cut down multiple mobs at once, thus being able to kill quicker and more efficiently than some other classes. Those that enjoy Mage classes will have a blast sweeping through to level 20.
   When your choices are at first limited, it's advisable that you keep "Concentration" topped up. As soon as you hit level 5 and begin collecting Skill Points, you will notice that if you do not have points in Concentration you will receive "Spell Interrupted" warnings. To be effective your spells should be interrupted as little as possible. "Climbing" is required to some degree throughout the game. If you wish to climb in Tortage you will need a minimum climb skill of 100. This quickly increases to 200 once you leave Tortage, and further increases with each new tier you achieve.
After all "Run Speed" is always a favorite who wants to run slow?! You must be level 40 to use Mounts, so you will likely want to rack up some points into Run Speed as well. As far as Mages go, you will want "Renew Mana", to keep a fresh pool of the blue stuff ready at all times.
Spells use "Mana", that would be the blue bar underneath your health. Run out of Mana and its game over for the Demonologist unless you can manage to melee yourself to the win.
As previously mentioned, Fires of Gehenna is a nice damage spell and it's going to grow with you and take you all the way to Level 80. Shockstrike is another spell that you gain early on the in game which does high damage with some added splash damage and will also see you through to 80. Both spells have short reuse timers, so you can easily spam them.
Also take note of your "Storm Chains" spell, a brief root which also does some minor damage. Take advantage of your rooted target by spamming them with nukes.
Spell weaving is a continuous spellstate that you may enter once you reach Level 50. The spell reads as follows: "Initiates the spell weaving state. The longer in this state, the more powerful the spells become, but with more risk of suffering detrimental effects. Spell weaving drains stamina, then rapidly drains health and can easily kill the reckless."
In Age of Conan, there are four classes are eligible to make use of Spell-weaving such as Demonologist, Necromancer, Tempest of Set and Priest of Mitra.
There are a set of five spell icons will come up once you start with Spell-weaving. Again they will appear every few seconds, which are beneficial abilities you may use during Spell-weaving to increase your stamina, damage and add a know-back, critical hits, bonus damage.
