In the World of Warcraft, Warrior arch rival is the Mage. A mage has so many tricks to escape the Warrior at the same time slowing the Warrior to a stand still and pushing out so much DPS that the Warrior has no chance. As a Warrior, you'll get closer to beat every Mage. Prior to you should understand the fact that the Mage is made to kill the Warrior. For sure you will not win the fight if the Mage out-gears you by a lot. So here we want to talk about some methods to how to win the fight between Warrior and Mage. If you follow this and practice, you will come close to beating the Mages you see.
   First and foremost, you should make sure that you get the charge on the Mage. It may be hard but a good trick is to mount up and run at the Mage. The Mage will start casting frost bolt (good Mages will cast fire-blast on a Warrior to get them in combat). You just try to get the charge in, if not then just start from ground zero.
   Secondly, whether you get the jump or not, you have to close the gap. After you get close, you need to start pounding and spamming hamstring till one hit. There is no Mage freeze you, blink, and ice lance, cone of cold. Probably you just have to eat this. In fact this would be a good time to trinket out of frozen, intercept and DPS as much as possible. Fighting a Mage, you should save your intercept for when you have lots of rage. You have to unload as much damage in the 2 seconds you have them stunned as you can. If you do not have improved intercept, you might as well just run from a descent Mage.
   Thirdly, you may need a few lucky crits to win if this is a frost Mage. But it is arcane or fire, you should be in good shape. Yet an arcane or fire Mage won't have blink cooled down, you should be in melee range and the Mage should be hamstringed. Any Warrior gets to know to keep hamstring up at all times. Either a fire/ arcane will try to proly/ pom or DPS you down. It would be awesome if you were ready for proly or pom with shield reflect. Just eat it and finish the Mage up with a couple good moves. If the Mage blinks, then wait for it and intercept. By now fire and arcane should be dead.
   The last but not least, frost Mage has cold snap and the water element which really sucks for you. They can throw freezes at you and even regular attacks can freeze you in place. If you have not blown your trinket, just wait. You need to use your trinket to intercept when the Mages blink is not cooled down and you have rage built up. Don't bother killing the element. The Mage can just cold snap and re summon. To intercept with a full rage bar and unload is the best thing you can do. You may want to have a potion ready for this one too. A quick bandage would not hurt if your intercept is on cooldown and the mage is not DPSing you.
