The Rogue is a very fun and hard class to play and you need some accurate strategies in order to be effective. You'll find such strategies along with information on your enemy and how they will react to you.
   To level a Rogue, the best way is through quest. Given that you have stealth, you can complete quests faster than other classes because you can avoid many mobs and just go for the quest objective. A Rogue can kill mobs very fast in that they hit hard and quick. Once they have the maximum combo points on a mob, they can use some critical strikes to dish out huge amount of damages in an instance. It is best for you to train your talents as you PVE in combat, you will do better that way. However, it is better for you to use daggers and spec as you PVP in Assassination or Subtlety, the arts that focus on surprise attacks.
   It is imperative to understand that your stealth ability when playing a Rogue. At that moment, Rogues are pretty weak, resistance wise so there is no point trying to get defense up. What you need to do is to focus on dealing damage with both your gear and skills. Once you attack a target, you have to dish out the full amount of damages you have while keeping him stunned. If you make the slightest mistake and a tank or caster gets a chance to hit you, you are pretty much dead. To make sure you harvest the true power of your stealth, you should have talents like Master of Deception and Camouflage. These will help with your stealth efficiency and movement. When fighting you need to do everything you can to keep the target at your mercy, if you make a mistake, you can always use the Vanish ability and then have at him again.
   In battleground, Rogues should try and take the objectives that are harder to reach all the way. There are no pint trying to defense a base or objective as the enemy knows Rogues are weak and they will target you. As a Rogue, the best thing can do is to attack players that are alone which are returning to the battle, locate any hidden healers and engage them or jus finish off any survivors who try to run away. To play a rogue in BG's is hard, you have to know in what order to use your skill against every class. Not only can it offer the strategies you need to effective in PVP but it will tell you how to protect your own weaknesses and harvest the weaknesses of your opponents.
   Your game-play has to be nothing less than perfect in arena fights. The team needs you to do your part the best way you can so that they can achieve victory. You will see exactly what you need to do against any team. For example, if you are up against a tank and a healer or caster, the most obvious thing you could do is go for the caster/healer. That is not enough, you need to use your crowd control abilities like Sap, Blind and Gouge on the support character while hitting the tank with everything you've got. To help you do that you need to know from the start what your enemy has that can be used to counter you. In the past Rogues had it easy, attacking a caster and their job was done, but now you have to control as many opponents as you can to ensure a victory.
   It is undeniable that the game evolves on and on. It is better for you to get in touch with the upcoming changes with this class and know your enemy better than they do themselves. What is more, you will have knowledge to learn any attack and challenges.
